Schlage electronic locks and Allegion access hardware
Match Schlage ENGAGE locks, readers and credentials to door construction, platform compatibility, wireless coverage and lifecycle requirements.

What Schlage and Allegion includes—and how to choose
Schlage electronic access hardware includes ENGAGE-enabled NDE and LE wireless locks and Control smart locks for supported multifamily or interior applications, along with additional wired and wireless solutions. Each lock family has different door-preparation, credential, communication, battery and platform requirements. The exact model and trim are selected from the opening—not just the software brand.
ENGAGE can operate with supported partner access-control platforms and credential technologies. Integration compatibility is verified using the current Allegion and platform documentation for the exact lock, reader, firmware and software release. Wireless gateways, mobile applications or commissioning devices must also be included in the field plan.
Door hardware remains a mechanical system. Handing, backset, door and frame condition, fire label, latch alignment, egress, accessibility and key override are inspected before electronic functions are tested. Battery replacement and lock health belong in the long-term operating plan.
Product families and their roles
This portfolio map separates the main Schlage and Allegion functions so the project is not reduced to a generic model list.
NDE wireless locks
Networked cylindrical wireless locks for supported commercial interior openings.
LE wireless locks
Mortise wireless locks for supported openings and platform integrations.
Control smart locks
Deadbolt and interconnected options for approved residential-style applications.
Readers and credentials
Schlage reader and credential technologies matched to the access platform and security level.
Architecture decisions before procurement
The selected family must fit the opening, scene, network, power, software and administrative environment.
Opening survey
Capture door, frame, handing, prep, backset, fire label, egress and mechanical condition.
Platform compatibility
Verify the exact lock, firmware, credential and management-platform combination.
Wireless design
Plan gateways, communication range, construction effects and update behavior.
Battery lifecycle
Define battery type, alerts, replacement interval, stocking and emergency procedure.
Commissioning evidence
Acceptance should demonstrate the intended workflow under realistic conditions, not only show that devices appear online.
- Test mechanical latch, lever, key override and approved egress before electronics.
- Issue, use and revoke every planned credential technology.
- Confirm wireless communication, audit retrieval, time and firmware status.
- Document model, trim, handing, firmware, battery, gateway and platform assignment.
